More Walking!!

Here is some more video of her walking. This was taken today. She's been everywhere. The only problem I'having is that Samantha doesn't really wear shoes because (1) her feet are too wide and puffy so I have to buy special shoes (2) she hates them. So when we're out and about she doesn't get to walk because I don't want her feet to get dirty and because she can't walk in her tennis shoes. She acts like her feet are glued to the ground when I put them on her.

She has seen this video of herself several times and she gets so excited and starts to hyperventilate. She's nuts. She has also been using a raspy voice lately that resembles the guy's voice from The Godfather. (not portrayed in this video).

Boo Boo

This happened about a month ago, but I'm waaaay behind on the blog. I was sitting out front with Samantha and I turned around for a second and she fell of the curb and into a parking spot. I felt like such a bad mom :( She cried a lot at first, but then she was ok. It's been a few weeks and she's completley healed up. It's her first boo boo.

I know this post is horribly disorganized...sorry. This actually happened today. I had some friends over last night for my birthday and they brought over cupcakes. Sam thought it would be hilarious to feed her a very messy chocolate one. She didn't really like it that much. I don't think she's real keen on sweets.

Duck Pond

Playing on the slide. She couldn't really go down it that smooth because she was wearing shorts and her legs kept sticking to the slide.

Samantha and Sam hanging out.

I really love this picture. I keep trying to put Samantha in tennis shoes so she can get used to walking in them but she hates them. She just picks at the shoe laces and acts goofy when she walks. I guess I'm going to just have to get used to my bare foot hippie baby.

Samantha has no idea what to think about the ugly bird.

Samantha you better feed them some bread before they eat you!

Sam showing Samantha how to feed them.

I don't think Samantha is all that impressed.

Fun Stuff

Samantha decided it would be really fun to surf on her ride-on toy. She's getting too brave for her own good these days.

I guess this can be added as one more of Dada's crazy ideas. He's always trying to make her look goofy. Notice here dirty face too. I made pasta for dinner (with spaghetti sauce) and I made her bowl and set it aside so it could cool off. I went to go make my plate and when I came back she had already dug into hers and ate half of it and the other half was smeared all over her face.

More Pictures from 4th of July

This was the whole gang. My neighbor, Shonda, and her daughter, Emily...she's 3, Lacy, Samantha, my next door neighbor, Janette, Sam, and I.

Playing with her glowstick.

The family.

Sam crawling around with the buddy in the grass. She loved the grass (it's not like our crab grass, weed-infested lawn at home).

Samantha loves her Dada.

Check out our tats.

Samantha was eyeing a third ball, but couldn't figure out how to get it because she was already holding two.

4th of July

We had a super-fun 4th of July!!!! Sam, Lacy, Samantha, and I went over to our neighbor, Janette's house for a cookout. All of the neighbors were there and Samantha had sooo much fun with all the kids. After the cookout we drove 20 miles to Winters, CA for the fireworks display in the highschool football field. It was so awesome, true Americana (it had to be in a town of 6,000).

Here are a few pics...more to come later :)

Lacy and I sitting on the blanket.

Samantha, Janette, and Lacy. My neighbor, Janette, is so awesome. I'm so happy I met her.

Here's Samantha laying back, playing with her glowstick, and watching the fireworks. This was her expression pretty much the whole time, she looks disgusted, but she really liked the fireworks. She just layed there the whole 30 min completely mesmerized.

Walking!!!!

She's walking!!!! She officially walked June 30, 2008. She took a few steps the night before, but I missed it. So the next day she walked for Sam and then again so I could capture it. I'm so proud of her. It's such an exciting milestone, but I don't think ready for her to walk :( She;s going to be into everything and all over the place...she already is with crawling, but now she'll just get there faster. I love her :)
